I am currently undertaking a costume supervisor internship with Opera North until february
I began exploring costume under Penelope Koleos at Dreyfoos School of The Arts in West Palm Beach FL, and entered the Foundation Art and Design at Leeds Arts University in order to expand my skills and approaches towards my career in costume for stage and film. This diploma prepared me for my current Costume with Textiles course at University of Huddersfield, where I am continuing to develop my construction and illustration skills as I progress into the Placement Year in industry.  I increasingly realize how necessary the process of research reference and identification is when considering my future in the theatre industry, as well as a valued member on a creative team.
I have never stopped dreaming. Imagination was a comfort and escape to a jewelled world from which I drew vision for the career I would be dedicated to and infatuated with. Making costumes has incorporated everything I love: original ideas, drawing, using various different materials, and creating a story. Whatever I had grown up dreaming, it is now possible and tangible because I can make it so. Imagination is what led me to my true craft and helped me develop it into an art form. I’m glad I have never lost that part of my childhood and it is still with me I would say, I trust that it will never abandon me in the future. It is still with me now and as I harnessed that power, I could find this world that I created as my own; the beauty of it was that they were all my own ideas. My superpower
has not failed me yet, I believe, because the magic comes from inside of me.
